I have been to Hobby Lobby y’all. Darren gets a little nervous when I go to Hobby Lobby, exspecially three days in a row. I tend to get a little carried away in that store. I love it.
I have been looking for a few more storage solutions. I’ve been trying to get things better organized and open up some space in other areas of the camper.
In the cabinets over the TV, we each have a cabinet for our clothes. Darren’s cabinet is for his work clothes and that works out great for him, for my cabinet not so much. I need more space for the kitchen. I wanted all my clothes in the bedroom so that I could have a cabinet for the electric cooking appliances.
I searched high and low (and I mean high and low, top shelf to bottom shelf). I measured and contemplated, will it fit or won’t it?
I was in Hobby Lobby the first day for four hours. This is what I finally ended up with.
This four basket drawer stand! It fit perfect. It freed up the shelf over my side of the bed, which freed up the cabinet over the TV. YaY! I love it!
I found this large storage box at Family Dollar and the small box I already had in a cabinet. They look good together.
I also bought this two teir hanging basket and hung it on the wall. It freed up some of my cabinet space in the bathroom. I like the way it looks.
This was another Hobby Lobby find, a toilet paper holder. I attached it to the wall with command hooks to keep it from turning over while we travel.
I bought these two chicken wire baskets at Walmart and hung them behind the toilet. They work great for holding soap and washcloths.
In the kitchen I used the empty cabinet for appliances. I was keeping my electric eye just sitting out on the gas stove. It was in my way a lot. Now it has a Home. I also have room for my crockpot and toaster. That freed up the top shelf of the pantry.
Behind the stove I keep my cutting boards. I just had them leaning up against the wall but they would fall over all the time. I found this cookbook stand at Hobby Lobby.
It works great. I attached it the the wall. I still have to take the cutting boards and put them on the sofa while we are in tow.
I’m finally getting everything I need in the best places to keep them. It has been a work in progress.
We are getting ready for another trip. We will be headed west again. So y’all stay tuned.
Live life and love on your family,
We are Darren and Christie Berry We sold our house in April of 2017 and moved into a 24 foot camper. We needed a little bit more room, so in January of 2019 we moved into a 37 foot Class A motorhome. Darren still works a conventional job so we are still tied tied down to the area. We travel as much as time will allow us to. Some people would say that we are homeless, but we have a home and it goes with us where ever we go.
